During two weeks in Hesteyri in the remote west fjords of Iceland images emerged that correspond with the nature of this untouched place.
The series “after humans” got inspired by the presence of the topic of climate change in discussions with many different people, travellers and locals. The works reflect our too late consciousness of the effects of human actions on this planet and display the upcoming loss.
My heartfelt thanks to Hrólfur for his hospitality and openness to my inspiration to come to Hesteyri.
